DWT-Septic Plus | Septic Tank Bacteria
The well-known Bio-Septic plus septic tank bacteria, but now also in a sustainable packaging with a content of 1 kg.
Good for use of approximately half a year. A family of 5 will use approximately 1 to 1,5 kg per year.
DWT-Septic+ is the replacement for Bio-Seton, with the same familiar composition.
DWT-Septic plus is designed for the heavily loaded septic tank or new systems. It is a product with an enormous amount of bacteria. These support the bacteria in your septic tank. It improves the efficiency and degradation in the tank. This results in less sludge in the tank, a cleaner discharge and less or no odour nuisance.
DWT-Septic + is a biological, non-toxic and non-harmful product. It is especially designed for the maintenance of polluted or nuisance septic tanks or WTPs. The product works with aerobic micro-organisms that are sporulated on a mineral carrier. One gram of DWT-septic + contains an enormous amount of over 100.000 micro-organisms, which are 100% intact due to the sporulation technique. This is in contrast to many other methods, such as freeze-drying, in which less than 10% of the micro-organisms survive.
By switching to new packaging, we can reduce the amount of plastic used by approximately 90%. The cardboard can be disposed of as waste paper and the plastic end-caps can be disposed of as plastic waste.
What is DWT-Septic + suitable for?
DWT-Septic + is very effective in reactivating polluted septic tanks. The product is not water soluble and has to be dosed weekly in the drains of the kitchen or toilet. The product comes into contact with water and the micro-organisms immediately become 100% active. Bio-Septic + will then find its way to the septic tank or WTP. Once there, the micro-organisms will start breaking down the excess sludge, as this sludge is food for them. Because this decomposition takes place in an aerobic way, the septic tank or WTP will give less or no odour nuisance and the efficiency is improved, which reduces the impact on the environment.
An additional advantage of using DWT-Septic + is that the piping of, for example, the kitchen will also suffer less from blockages caused by grease, since this will also be broken down by the micro-organisms.
How do I use DWT-Septic Plus?
Start-up period: Distribute 10 grams per person per week over drains such as toilet and kitchen.
After 15 weeks: Distribute 5 grams per person per week over drains such as toilet and kitchen.
Calculation example: You have a family of 4 and you discharge into an WTP of about 3000 litres. The first 15 weeks you dose 40 grams per week in the toilet. After the start-up period of 15 weeks, you reduce the dosage somewhat and flush 20 grams down the toilet per week.
How much DWT-Septic+ do I need for my septic tank or WTP?
DWT-Septic+ is delivered in a 0,5 kilo bag. A bag of half a kilo will be good for approximately half a year.
A family with 5 persons will use approximately 1 to 1.5 kg per year.
Difference between DWT-Septic and DWT-Septic+ for use in a septic tank?
Both products are pre-eminently suitable for maintenance, solving and preventing odours in septic tanks and WTPs. The aerobic micro-organisms are very effective in breaking down organic material without causing any odour.
The standard DWT-Septic contains approximately 10.000 bacteria per gram.
For septic tanks that are heavily used or that already give a lot of odour nuisance, there is DWT-Septic +. This product contains an enormous amount of micro-organisms, approximately 100.000 per gram. In combination with the unique production method, DWT-Septic + is a very effective product for the maintenance and support of your septic tank or WTP.

In case of a septic tank or WTP, be careful with chlorinated cleaning products! They can seriously disturb the biology in the tank.
What is the difference between DWT Bio-Septic products and other products on the market?
Apart from the fact that DWT-Septic is a very effective mix of bacteria, fungi and other micro-organisms, its production method is unique: many bacterial products are freeze-dried after cultivation together with a carrier material. This method is simple and cost-effective. However, a large proportion of the micro-organisms do not survive this method. This can be detrimental to the effectiveness.
The Bio-septic products are made differently.
The bacteria, moulds and other micro-organisms are cultured under ideal conditions. Then a natural carrier material is added to this mix. After this, the conditions are made extremely unpleasant for the bacteria. They react to this by attaching themselves to the carrier material.
The great advantage is that this is a natural reaction to stressful conditions. Bacteria can maintain this stage for many years. As soon as the conditions are right again (as soon as they enter a watery environment), the bacteria can activate again very quickly. This is good news, because it means they can clean your septic tank or WTP very quickly!
