Washing Machine Drain Smells
Read more about this annoying problem and how to solve this?
The drain of the washing machine gives off a foul smell and creates a stench in the house. Especially when it rains or the weather is cold, you can smell it.
What's causing it?
All kinds of dirt and grease come down the drain of the washing machine. This deposits on the inside of the drain pipes. Soap residue from the washing detergent also settles. This is an ideal breeding ground for bad, odour forming bacteria. These bacteria will grow in the layer of dirt or, in other words, things will start to rot. And that can stink!
