Maintenance of Municipal Sewerage Systems

Our products are also used with good results in the maintenance of sewage systems in towns and villages. Our bacteria are very good at breaking down grease and sludge. We actually create a kind of mini-treatment of the sewage system. We do this in various towns throughout Europe.

The prevention of odours is also an important advantage. This means that little or no mechanical cleaning is required. This approach is therefore certainly of interest in areas where there are many subsidence problems or where mechanical cleaning is not possible (e.g. in busy city centres).

How well does it work?

We have projects where more than 80% of the grease deposits have been broken down within a year. Actually more, because the grease discharge does not stop, of course.

Another important point is that the bacteria are aerobic. They compete with anaerobic bacteria, ensuring that H2S production is minimal. This greatly extends the life of the system.

We also offer various products for combating grease and odours in pumping stations. The resulting floating layer of grease can be effectively combated with these products.

What we also find very important is that all these products are biological, non-toxic and safe for humans and animals.
