Bacteria for cesspit maintenance
Septic tank maintenance. It's easier than you think.
A cesspit is more or less the predecessor of the septic tank. Sometimes a cesspit or septic tank is still connected to the sewage system. A cesspit must be emptied regularly by a specialised company. Doing it yourself is not recommended; dangerous gases can accumulate in the cesspit. These gases are sometimes heavier than air, so you may only notice them when you enter the cesspit and put yourself in danger! It is important that you do this regularly to avoid problems. For example, if a cesspit is not emptied regularly, odours and blockages can occur. For example, the pipe (overflow) that leads to the cesspit can become blocked and cause odours. The odour will enter your home and you may suffer greatly as a result.
How is it that a drain stinks of sewage?
Unfortunately, you cannot avoid having the cesspit regularly maintained and emptied by a specialised company. What you can do is regularly maintain the cesspit with various maintenance products. This ensures that dirt accumulates less quickly. Roebic products are an example of these products. These products consist of patented bacteria that you can add to the existing bacterial culture in the cesspit to break down waste products. This improves the function of the cesspit and the waste products are broken down more quickly. Due to the faster decomposition, the cesspit needs to be emptied less often and there is less odour nuisance.
